Kazakhstan, Belarus to create joint military ventures

ALMATY. May 26. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan and Belarus are planning to organize joint ventures that will be producing military and technical goods, Kazakh Deputy Defense Minister Talgat Zhanzhumenov told journalists on Wednesday; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
"We are considering the possibility of creating a number of joint ventures and production facilities in Kazakhstan," Zhanzhumenov said.
He explained that there were plans to produce equipment for the air defense forces and state-of-the-art military machinery. " These are breakthrough projects," Zhanzhumenov said. Some of the products will be featured next year at an exhibition in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, he added; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
