Kazakhstan, Bahrain develop banking & financial coop

ASTANA. October 21. KAZINFORM. Financial and banking sectors were called as priority directions of interaction between Kazakhstan and Bahrain during the talks held by Kazakh Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev in Bahrain; Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA's press service.

Staying on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain A. Issekeshev held a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh ‎Khalifa ibn Salman Al Khalifah on October 19 in Manama. The Minister extended a letter of Kazakh Premier Karim Massimov to the Prime Minister of Bahrain. In a letter the Kazakh side proposes to activate bilateral economic and investment cooperation. Besides, K. Massimov invites his counterpart to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan. Sheikh ‎Khalifa ibn Salman accepted an invitation and expressed interest in development of all-round cooperation with Kazakhstan.

The sides reached agreements on experience exchange and technical assistance in development of the Islamic banking system in Kazakhstan as well as specialists training in this sphere.

As is known Bahrain is widely recognized as the global leader in Islamic finance.
