Kazakhstan backs Belarus' approaches to CSTO chairmanship - Nazarbayev

ASTANA. May 24. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakhstan backs the approaches of Belarus to its chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organization. President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said it after the meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in Akorda Palace today.
"This year our countries will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their independence. The most important thing is that both Belarus and Kazakhstan could preserve inter-ethnic peace and harmony", N. Nazarbayev noted.
The Head of State added that Kazakhstan and Belarus successfully came out of the global financial-economic crisis.
"We support the priorities of the economic development of your country and the policy you pursue. As the CSTO presiding country you initiate new approaches, and we back them", the President stressed.
