Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan develop cooperation in ecology and natural resources
Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel had a meeting with Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of this country Mukhtar Babayev, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The sides discussed the prospects for development of 'green' diplomacy and exchanged views on the pressing issues of the global and regional environmental agenda.
Alim Bayel congratulated Mukhtar Babayev on Azerbaijan’s chairmanship in the 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29, slated for November 2024 in Baku.
Mukhtar Babayev pointed out that COP29 is called to become one of the largest and most attended events held in Azerbaijan.
Besides, the sides discussed a number of Kazakhstani initiatives aimed at support of the climate dialogue in the region. The parties also agreed to boost cooperation in the field of introduction and reintroduction of various species of animals.
