Kazakhstan - Australia parliamentary dialogue has great potential - Kairat Mami
Noting the importance of the visit for inter-parliamentary cooperation strengthening, K.Mami stressed that parliamentary dialogue between Kazakhstan and Australia has great potential.
"Kazakh MPs are interested in intensifying cooperation with Australian counterparts," said Mami and called for exchange of experience in legislative work, promoting the timely formation of bilateral legal base.
Mami informed about the achievements of Kazakhstan for 20 years of independence, the successful implementation of Kazakhstan's foreign policy initiatives in strengthening stability and security in the region and the world. In this regard, Mami said that on 30-31 May 2012 Astana will host the IV Congress of World and Traditional Religions.
P.Slipper expressed support to the Kazakh counterpart to develop cooperation between the two parliaments in the sphere of legislative activity, which in his opinion, creates conditions for enhancing trade and economic relations.
