Kazakhstan attracted $17 bln into processing industry in past 5 years

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Over the past five years Kazakhstan has attracted $17 billion into processing industry, Minister of Investment and Development of the country Asset Issekeshev said at a conference in Astana on Tuesday.

"Thanks to well-balanced economic policy of our President Nursultan Nazarbayev and economic sustainability, Kazakhstan has become a trusted business partner. Nowadays it is one of the most attractive countries for investments in the post-Soviet territory. Over the past five years we have attractive $17 billion into the processing industry alone," Minister Issekeshev revealed at the conference themed ""Results of the first 5-year plan of industrialization in the Republic of Kazakhstan". In his words, business climate has dramatically improved in Kazakhstan over the past couple of years as well. "Kazakhstan has not only revived but modernized its chemical industry, opened new assembly factories," Asset Issekeshev added.
