Kazakhstan attaches great importance to coop with the Asian Development Bank - Dosaev

ASTANA. August 19. KAZINFORM - Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ADB Governor of Kazakhstan), met with the newly appointed secretary of the Asian Development Bank Mary Ann Birken, says the press - service of the institution.

The parties discussed the preparations for the annual meeting of the 47th session of Board of Governors, which is scheduled for May 2014.

The head of of the Ministry Erbolat Dosaev congratulated Mrs. Birken on the appointment to the post of Secretary of the ADB, and also noted that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to cooperation with the Asian Development Bank, which provides support to Kazakhstan in modernization of the economy and implementation of important social projects.

In turn, the Secretary of ADB Mary Ann Birken noted the extensive work done by the Kazakh side to prepare the annual meeting and looked forward to a successful joint effort.

Carrying the 47th ADB meeting in Astana will bring not only economic but also social and political effects for Kazakhstan.
