UL. May 17. KAZINFORM /Rassul Bakhamov/ Kazakhstan as the OSCE Chairman is interested in early settlement of conflict in Afghanistan.
OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Kazakh Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev made it public in Kabul on Monday, May 17.
Following the meetings with the heads of the Afghan MFA he noted that the Afghan problem could become one of the most important issues at the OSCE Summit in Astana.
He also noted that one of the main goals of the OSCE activity and international coalition was assistance to Afghanistan in transfer of the society from armed confrontation to the way of meaningful development.
"Kazakhstan as the OSCE Chairman intends to draw the Organization's efforts on regulation of the situation in Afghanistan, especially in the humanitarian sphere", K.Saudabayev said.
