Kazakhstan appreciates Oslo support to its int'l initiatives - MP

TANA. October 12. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Majilis Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security Committee Amzebek Zholshibekov met with Morten Hoglund, member of the Storting (Norwegian Parliament) on Wednesday in Astana.
They discussed Kazakh-Norwegian cooperation development, particularly the interparliamentary contacts.
The Kazakh parliamentarian thanked his Norwegian colleague for the participation in For a Nuclear Weapons Free World international forum. "This forum is an important political event in Kazakhstan," he noted.
Zholshibekov said that Astana considers Oslo as one of the most significant political and economic partners in Europe. "Kazakhstan appreciates the support of Oslo to its international initiatives. Kazakh parliamentarians want closer cooperation with the Parliament of Norway. We have established a group for cooperation with the Storting," he said.
