Kazakhstan appoints new deputy defense minister

By order of the Head of State, Kanysh Abubakirov has been named the new deputy minister of defense of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.
Kanysh Abubakirov has been appointed as the new deputy minister of defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Born in 1977 in Turkestan region, he graduated from the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
From June 2021, he served as the head of the general staff – first deputy commander-in-chief of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
