Kazakhstan and UN discussed contemporary forms of slavery combating issues

ASTANA. September 25. KAZINFORM Acting Kazakh Minister of Internal Affairs Kalmukhanbet Kassymov met with UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery Gulnara Shahinian within her visit to Kazakhstan, the press release of the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs reads.
The sides discussed the issues of human rights in combating trafficking in persons, other contemporary forms of slavery, and measures taken by the Kazakh Government in this field.
The meeting has a strategic significance for Kazakhstan in order to prepare the recommendations for the UN Human Rights Council.
