Kazakhstan and Turkey signed joint declaration

ASTANA. October 11. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyшp Erdogan signed a joint declaration following the first sitting of the Council of Strategic Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Turkey.

"For 20 years we held a lot of meetings. But today's meeting is special, because we have established the Council of Strategic Cooperation. Turkey was the first country who recognized Kazakhstan's independence in an hour after its declaration. This will never fade away from the memory of Kazakh people," Nursultan Nazarbayev told.   

Besides, in accordance with the results of the Council's meeting, Kazakh Vice Minister -Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev and Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Chaglayan signed an action plan on realization of the joint economic program "New Synergy" for 2012- 2015.

In addition, Kazakh Chairman of the State Agency for State Service Affairs Alikhan Baimenov and head of State Personnel Presidency of Turkish Ali Kumbuzoglu signed a memorandum on cooperation between the authorities of the two countries.
