Kazakhstan and Turkey governments sign Agreement on International Kazakh-Turkish University

ASTANA. October 23. KAZINFORM Within the framework of the official visit of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Turkey there was signed the Agreement between the Kazakh and Turkish Governments on activity conditions of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after K.A.Yassawi.

Kazakh Minister of Education and Science signed this document on the behalf of the Kazakh Government; the press service of the Ministry reports.

The new Agreement provides following changes: the University is defined as a facility, which has an international status. The University has a right to create branches abroad for implementation of the educational activity, which meets contemporary international requirements for skilled specialists training. The International Kazakh Turkish University named after K.A.Yassawi can have a branch in Shymkent city with clinics, which will have a right to realize educational activity within the framework of licenses given to the University.

The University's Intergovernmental Plenipotentiary Council is the highest management body.
