Kazakhstan and the World Bank to sign Grant Agr't on school and hospital modernization

"As part of the grant agreement with the World Bank in the period from 2014 to 2016 it is planned each year to upgrade 20 schools and 5 hospitals and implement a project for street lighting in the regions of the country. That is, the document at the moment is ready to be endorsed, " said N.Sauranbaev at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In addition, as the vice-minister of industry and new technologies informed, by 2014 all large industrial enterprises should implement a system of energy management. "In order to prepare the necessary staff there have opened specialties for energy efficiency in five universities of Kazakhstan, and 11 training centers have been established for training and skills development in the field of energy saving", concluded the deputy minister.
