Kazakhstan and Switzerland are free to exchange information on tax issues

ASTANA. January 23. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Senate adopted the Law "On ratification of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Swiss Federal Council on amendments to the Convention between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Swiss Federal Council for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and the Protocol signed in Bern on October 21, 1999" at the plenary session Thursday.
Acting Finance Minister Ruslan Dalenov, who introduced the corresponding bill for Majilis' consideration earlier, said it is aimed at expanding cooperation between the tax agencies of Kazakhstan and Switzerland to facilitate exchange of information in order to avoid double taxation.
