Kazakhstan and Russia to debate trans-border river navigation development issues

ASTANA. KAZINFORM A panel session "Development of trans-border river navigation of Kazakhstan and Russia" will be held as part of the XI Interregional Cooperation Forum in Atyrau with participation of the Presidents of the two nations.
It is organized by Kazlogistics Transport Workers' Union of Kazakhstan, National Entrepreneurship Chamber of Kazakhstan and Kazakh Investments and Development Ministry, the union's press service said. The roundtable will focus on prospects how to increase cargo turnover by inland transport between Kazakhstan and Russia up and down the Irtysh River and to boost the Irtysh and Ural rivers navigation. Besides, it will address the ongoing state and prospects for the development of Atyrau port, and Russia's inland navigation development practice.
