Kazakhstan and Russia conduct joint exercises

ATYRAU. KAZINFORM Emergency Situations Ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia conducted joint exercises in the Atyrau region, our correspondent reports.

The task is to put out large-scale forest and steppe fires in the trans-border areas. 29 units of equipment and 85 members of staff took part in the combined exercises. As stated there, the key is to solve problem of warning population caught in the fire area. The ministries plan to hold joint rescue exercises in the Astrakhan oblast, Russian Federation.
