Kazakhstan and Romania embark on military cooperation
The agreement on cooperation in the sphere of join training of military manpower was signed within the first official visit of the Romanian Prime Minister to Kazakhstan, Kazinform has learnt from the Kazakh Defense Ministry's press service.
Deputy Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Imanzhusup Akpombayev and Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu became signatories to the agreement.
The newly signed document is aimed at training of military men at military educational institutions and improvement of military officers' qualifications on a reciprocal basis.
It is worth mentioning, the Kazakh Defense Ministry has done a lot recently to perfect the national system of military education and training.
"Military cooperation between Kazakhstan and Romania is in its initial stage. Today we have signed the cooperation agreement on training of military manpower. This document will allow to intensify the bilateral cooperation in military education and training. I am confident the first official visit of the Romanian Prime Minister has turned out to be successful in many ways," I.Akpombayev stressed after the signing ceremony.
