Kazakhstan and Poland strengthen coop in justice sphere

ASTANA. June 13. KAZINFORM Within the framework of a working trip to Warsaw Kazakh Minister of Justice Rashid Tusupbekov has met with heads of the Polish Ministry of Justice and State Academy of Judiciary and Public Prosecution; Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Warsaw.

At the meetings the parties discussed a wide range of issues connected with strengthening bilateral cooperation in the sphere of justice and ensuring rule of law. In particular, the main topics of the Kazakh-Polish negotiations were: exchange of experience on using generally recognized norms of international law and international treaties in the sphere of human rights observance, including places of detention; studying the European experience on criminal sanctions implementation; exchange of experts, organization of mutual trainings on probation, international conferences and roundtables aimed at interaction in the sphere of elaboration of normative legal acts and analysis of Kazakhtsan?s legislation; holding trainings, seminars and extension courses for staff of judicial authorities; opportunity of establishment of partnership of Kazakhstan with the ENFSI. Contacts activation between Astana and Warsaw is directed to practical implementation of ?Path to Europe? state program. Following the results of the negotiations a memorandum of mutual understanding and cooperation in the sphere of specialists training was signed between the Kazakh Ministry of justice and State Academy of Judiciary and Public Prosecution of the Polish Ministry of Justice. The parties expressed confidence that strengthening partnership between the justice bodies of the two states will promote the EU initiative on strengthening the rule of law in the Central Asian region.
