The country’s section from Ust Kamenogorsk to the border with Russia stretching over 189 km was already built. 62 km of the road will be repaired.

Currently, the Ust-Kamenogorsk-Rubtsovsk-Barnaul-Tuyekta- border of Mongolia road stretches over 1,604 km long.

The construction of the new road up to 837 km will help cut travel time, improve transport services between Kazakhstan and Mongolia, and will become an important move to boost economic and cultural ties.

Earlier, Kazakhstan and Russia agreed to resume the Ridder-Novosibirsk international rail service.

As written before, in the first six months of 2024, Kazakhstan’s non-primary exports by railway reached up to 10 million tons, increasing by 7% compared to a year before.
