Kazakhstan and Latvia's sales turnover to hit $500 mln

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced today at a press conference upon results of the bilateral talks with his Latvian counterpart Andris Bērziņš.

"Currently, our countries enjoy stable fruitful dialogue at all levels. The Interstate Commission for Commercial and Economic Cooperation functions successfully. Only over the last year the mutual sales turnover has increased for 50% and now makes $350 million. In line with our plans this figure will hit $500 million in the nearest future. In this connection, the upcoming Kazakh-Latvian Business Forum in Astana and Almaty is of paramount importance," the President of Kazakhstan emphasized.

In his words, Kazakhstan and Latvia are also believed to sign agreements in tourism, science, transport and logistics, agriculture and other fields.
