Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan keep balance in water and energy issues

KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ - The system of regulation of the water and energy issues between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan remains unchanged, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov stated at the press conference after the first sitting of the Intergovernmental Council of the two countries.

«Last year we elaborated a good regulation procedure in the water and energy issues between the two countries. During the entire winter period we caused no problems to each other and have always found mutually admissible solution and maintained the balance of water and energy supplies», - K. Massimov said. This year for the first time we have not seen water spillage in Kyzylorda area, he added. «We reached a consent that we will continue to use the achieved schemes in the next year that will help us resolve emerging issues», the Prime Minister said.
