Kazakhstan and India have common position on issues of struggle against terrorism: Indian Foreign Minister

ANA. May 12. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev has met with Indian Foreign Minister Somanahalli Mallaiah Krishna today, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The sides discussed the current status of bilateral relations, prospects for development of Kazakh-Indian strategic partnership and process of realization of the agreements achieved during the visit of the Kazakhstan President to India in January last year.

Concerning the issue of trade and economic cooperation the Foreign Ministers noted that the achieved level of economic ties did not correspond to the great potential of cooperation between the two states. In this regard, K.Saudabayev briefed his colleague on the Forced Industrial-Innovative Development Program of Kazakhstan and expressed interest in participation of India in its implementation. The interlocutors complimented the level of interaction within such global and regional organizations as the UN, SCO and the CICA.

S.M. Krishna emphasized the common position of Kazakhstan and India on a range of topical regional and international issues, in particular, issues of struggle against terrorism.
