Kazakhstan and Germany vow to step up economic cooperation

BERLIN. October 1. KAZINFORM In an attempt to discuss and step up economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany, a roundtable with the participation of the heads of German ministries, agencies and economic associations was held at the Kazakh Embassy in Berlin.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Germany Nurlan Onzhanov, Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank AG Mr. Peter Tils and other German officials were in attendance.
Ambassador Onzhanov briefed those present on the relevant aspects of political and socioeconomic development of Kazakhstan within the Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy and the key priorities of bilateral cooperation in the context of agreements reached during President Nazarbayev's visit to Germany in February 2012.
The sides set the main directions of economic interaction in the context of raw and technological partnership and participation of the German companies in the preparations for the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
