‘Kazakhstan and China industrial park of Silk Road’ under implementation

Delegation of investors and experts from China have discussed the project with Karim Kokrekbayev, Governor of Zhambyl region, Consul General of China in Almaty Zhang Wei, as well as business people and heads of different departments. The idea of establishing the park was announced during the visit of Vice Minister of Science and Technology of China Zhang Laiwu to Kazakhstan. Later in the framework of his visit to China, Zhambyl region's Governor Mr.Kokrekbayev and Governor of Shaanxi Province Lowe Chindyan have signed an agreement on the creation of "Kazakhstan-China agricultural science and industrial park of the Silk Road." The project envisages the creation of modern and innovative scientific and industrial zones, and environmentally friendly crop and livestock production. Total investment in the project amounted to more than 160 billion tenge. The initiator of the project is Dungan Association of Kazakhstan.
