Kazakhstan and Canada will ink an agr't on peaceful use of nuclear energy

ASTANA. November 11. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan and Canada will sign an agreement on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. The document will be endorsed during the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada John Baird to Kazakhstan. This has been informed today at a press briefing by the spokesman for the Central Communications Service Altai Abibullayev.

Visit of Foreign Minister of Canada at the invitation of the Kazakh side is scheduled for November 13-14. This is the first official visit during the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Canada.

"The purpose of the visit is the exchange of views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, as well as discussion of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Canada of a series of measures to further strengthen the comprehensive cooperation between Canada and Kazakhstan. During this official event the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev and the foreign minister of Canada are to sign an agreement between the two governments on collaboration in the peaceful use of nuclear energy", added Mr.Abibullayev.
