Kazakhstan and Brazil to expand trade and investment relations

"We want to expand our trade and investments in this region, especially in Kazakhstan. We want to have more joint enterprises and sell our goods in Kazakhstan, and the Kazakh ones - in Brazil", Vice Minister of Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil Ivan Ramalho said.
Kazakh Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Yerkhat Iskaliyev, in his turn, noted that Kazakhstan is also interested in trade-economic relations development with Brazil.
"At present the trade turnover with Brazil makes up USD 274 mln. The Kazakh export makes up USD 26.6 mln, import - USD 247 mln. This forum is called to increase and balance the trade turnover of the two states", Y.Iskaliyev said.
According to him, Kazakhstan and Brazil have good prospects of cooperation in the sphere of aviation, space, transport, healthcare, export of mineral fertilizers, energy feedstock, advanced technologies, engineering and etc.
About 20 large Brazil companies representing different sectors of economy and heads of Kazakh ministries and departments take part in the business forum. The organizers are Atameken Union National Economic Chamber under the auspices of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Embassy of Brazil in Kazakhstan.
