Kazakhstan and Bahrain to set up joint investment fund

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan and Bahrain will establish a joint investment fund to realize the Advanced Industrial and Innovation Development Programme of Kazakhstan," Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev told a briefing after negotiations with visiting King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
"We have determined a range of priority areas of cooperation. Kazakhstan suggests tuning up cooperation in agriculture. Secondly, our countries will establish the joint investment fund to contribute to the country's industrial and innovation development programme," the President noted. Besides, the President prioritized the aluminum processing cluster using the best practices of Bahrain, development of the Islamic banking in Kazakhstan. Following the results of the negotiations the sides signed bilateral agreements on cooperation and mutual understanding between the relevant authorities of Kazakhstan and Bahrain.
