Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan discussed extension of coop

January KAZINFORM "Azerbaijani companies could participate in establishing a logistics center in West Kazakhstan region and ensuring food security of the region through this center," Minister for Economic Development of Azerbaijan Shakhin Mustafayev said following the meeting with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Krymbek Kusherbayev in Baku.

"In order to study cooperation opportunities Azerbaijani delegation is expected to visit Aktau. A joint business forum is also planned," S. Mustafayev informed.

According to him, Kazakh-Azerbaijani relations are based on mutual respect and principles of mutually beneficial cooperation. Today, more than 20 documents have been signed between the countries, and international treaty framework has been formed.

In turn, K. Kusherbayev noted Kazakhstan is very interested in extending Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan cooperation, high technologies and methods used in different spheres of Azerbaijan's economy.

Perspectives of cooperation extension, development of collaboration in various economic branches including industry, agrarian sector, logistics and tourism were discussed during the meeting.
