Kazakhstan and Austria discussed cooperation

Kazakh Ambassador met with Governor of Styria Franz Voves, authorities of the Economic Chamber, Industrial Union, leading universities and industrial companies of the well-known Austrian province, which is the most dynamically developing region in Europe.

According to the Governor, business circles of Styria show a keen interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan, expressing readiness to share their experience in the spheres of high technologies, telecommunication, renewable energy sources, food industry, tourism and sport.

Kazakhstan is of interest for Austria as energy supplier and country with growing industrial, investment and tourist potential.

Kazakh-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation will discuss all these issues during the annual session scheduled on autumn in Astana.

Development of investment, trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan's regions and Austrian federal lands were discussed during the Kazakh Ambassador's working visit.

Besides, the sides expressed their willingness to develop cultural cooperation. The main idea is cultural bridge establishment. In this context, much significance is attached to the days of culture of Kazakhstan in Austria planned for May 2013.
