Kazakhstan allocates 33 billion tenge to raise healthcare workers’ salaries
Along with ensuring legal protection for healthcare workers, the state focuses on improving their social support. This is what President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said addressing a gala ceremony held in Akorda ahead of Medical Workers' Day.
“Over the past three years, government support for healthcare professionals has increased seven-fold. The salaries of medical workers are being raised gradually. This year alone, 33 billion tenge has been allocated from the budget for this goal,” the Head of State said.

Tokayev noted that the implementation of these initiatives enabled to stabilize staffing across the country's healthcare system.
“Doctors working in remote rural communities receive one-time social support payments. Last year, a total of 4.5 billion tenge was allocated to 530 healthcare professionals,” he said.
Earlier, Qazinform reported that Tokayev congratulated healthcare workers on their professional holiday at ceremony in Akorda.
