Kazakhstan ahead of some countries in antitrust policy efficiency

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Leading positions in the Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum 2013 speak for the development and strengthening of Kazakhstan's antimonopoly policy, the Kazakh Agency for Protection of Competition said.

Kazakhstan improved its antimonopoly policy efficiency ranking moving up by 4 positions. Thereat, Kazakhstan is ahead of some CIS and Eurasian Economic Union member states (Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Moldova, etc.) and Europe (Greece, Slovakia, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, etc.), the Middle East (Israel,etc.). Kazakhstan's ranking depends firstly on the mature antitrust policy, its realization, development and adoption of a package of measures aimed at improving the country's competitive environment.
