Kazakhstan, Afghanistan to step up inter-parliamentary contacts

The Afghani parliamentary delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly of Afghanistan Mohammed Saleh Saljuki is in Kazakhstan in order to step up inter-parliamentary contacts.

"Afghan MPs are expected to visit Almaty city, the Afghan Center of Culture "Ariana" in particular, meet with Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies leadership and Maslikhat deputies," Mr. Abibullayev added.

A round table devoted to the reforms of local self-government will be held at the Majilis (Lower Chamber of the Kazakh Parliament) on December 10-13.

In addition, the responsible committees under the Kazakh Senate are to review bills on ratification of the earlier signed bilateral and multilateral agreements this week.
