“Kazakhstan-2030 Strategy: opportunities and prospects of new decade of Kazakhstan” International conference kicked off in Astana

Prime Minister Karim Massimov, First Vice Chairman of Nur Otan National Democratic Party Darkhan Kaletayev, Chairman of SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund Kairat Kelimbetov, as well as representatives of the Presidential Administration, Prime Minister's Office, deputies of the Parliament, leading Kazakh and foreign experts are taking part in the conference.

Presidential Aide, Chairman of the Innovation Committee of Nur Otan Kuandyk Bishimbayev read out a welcoming speech of the Head of the State, Chairman of Nur Otan National Democratic Party Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"Kazakhstan-2030 strategy adopted twelve years ago has determined the  priority directions of development of the independent Kazakhstan. Prosperity, security and improvement of well-being of all Kazakhstanis which became the central challenges of the long-term strategy remain key ones for the future too", the text of the address reads.

First ten-year period of the Strategy's implementation approaches to its end now. Over these years Kazakhstan has modernized its economy, public administration, social and political systems of the society, N. Nazarbayev notes. The Strategy allowed us to become a leader in many socio-economic parameters on the post-soviet space.

To date Kazakhstan faces uneasy challenges like withstanding the global crisis impact and overcoming it with renewed and improved economy having created all conditions for stable post-crisis development.

According to the Head of the State all of these can be reached due to the 2020 Strategy of the country's development and Five-year program of Kazakhstan's forced industrial-innovative development. Their implementation will ensure consistent realization of the Kazakhstan-2030 Strategy in the new decade. These programs will make the fundament of competitiveness of the country's economy stronger and improve the level of well-being of our people as well as our positions on the international arena.

The President expressed confidence that the conference would contribute to the development of important directions of Kazakhstan's development in new conditions.
