Kazakhs prefer to gift laptops and tablets for the New Year

ALMATY. December 20. KAZINFORM - International Group "Home Credit" conducted a study "What different nations prefer to gift for the New Year". In 2013, bestsellers are gadgets like laptops, smartphones and TVs with LED- displays, the press service of Home Credit Bank informs.
Kazakhstanis usually make gifts not only to their family members and friends, but also to colleagues and acquaintances and they traditionally start purchasing presents for the New Year in December.
This year's preferences of Kazakhstanis have not changed on the last year: TVs, laptops , smartphones and computers. The study shows that in the pre-New Year period, people are more willing to buy on credit. For instance, more than 20 % of all purchases using consumer loans in 2012 in Kazakhstan were made in November and December. The last year's sales peak was in December, therefore it is likely to expect this year's largest volume of purchases on credit also in December.
