Kazakh Zarina Diyas shines in Japan Women's Open Tennis opener

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani tennis player Zarina Diyas has sneaked into the second round of the Japan Women's Open Tennis tournament in Osaka this morning, Kazinform has learned from Vesti.kz.
The 20-year-old Diyas needed 1h 19 min to route Yung-Jan Chan from Chinese Taipei in straight sets 7:6, 6:1. The fifth-seed Diyas will face Lara Arruabarrena of Spain in the second-round match. The Spanish athlete beat German Tatjana Maria in their respective first-round game. The prize fund of the tournament in Osaka is $250,000.
