Kazakh wrestlers claim 8 medals at Muhamet Malo 2025 Ranking Series in Albania
The Muhamet Malo 2025 Ranking Series wrapped up in Tirana, Albania, where Kazakhstan’s wrestling team pocketed eight medals, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The only gold medal was claimed by Zhamila Bakbergenova (72kg). Elmira Syzdykova (76kg) grabbed bronze.
In the Greco-Roman wrestling, Yerassyl Mamyrbekov, Yersin Abyir (55kg), and Bagdat Sabaz (67kg) all secured third place.
Kazakhstan’s freestyle wrestlers also brought home three medals. Bolat Sakayev (86kg) claimed second place on the podium, narrowly losing to American Chandler Marsteller in the final bout. Mukhamed Balgabay (61kg) and Rustem Myrzagaliyev (86kg) finished third.
As reported earlier, Kazakh middleweight WBO and IBF champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, has expressed his desire to step into the ring against unified super middleweight champion, Mexican Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
