Kazakh-Vietnamese JV to make sneakers

TARAZ. KAZINFORM The Kazakh-Vietnamese joint venture will begin producing sports shoes until the end of the year in Taraz.
"We have set the joint venture and plan to begin production of Kazakhstan-made sneakers up to 1 mln pairs per year," director general of TarazKozhObuv (Taraz leather shoes plant) Oleg Mustafidi said. Today TarazKozhObuv produces 1,3 mln square meters of semi-finished leather, 3 mln square meters of European standard high-quality leather and 300,000 pairs of shoes.
