Mr. Ordabayev told Kazinform correspondent that during the bilateral meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Ruslan Demchenko they discussed the development of bilateral relations at the highest level.

"Ukraine is the most important trade and political partner. Kazakhstan and Ukraine have a lot to discuss and work on together, especially in the industrial sector, agricultural and energy spheres and in terms of space cooperation," Vice Minister Ordabayev explained.

"I would like to note the positive dynamics in the commercial and economic field. Currently, the mutual trade turnover between the countries is $5.5 billion. And this is only the beginning. Today's visit of Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov to Kiev will give an additional impetus to our bilateral contacts," he concluded.
