Kazakh-Turkish Initiative on regular contacts between OSCE and CICA supported in Istanbul

ISTANBUL. June 7. KAZINFORM Expediency of the initiative of Kazakhstan and Turkey on establishment of closer and more regular contacts between the OSCE and CICA was complimented in reports of participants of special conference on security and economic cooperation in Eurasia held within the 3rd CICA Summit.

The event was initiated by OSCE Secretary-in-office, Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu.

As OSCE Chairman-in-Office K.Saudabayev called all interested parties to dialogue and negotiations, necessary for provision of security and stability of the region.

Foreign Ministers of the OSCE and CICA member states including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Lithuania, Mongolia, Thailand, and President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly J.Soares and OSCE Secretary General M. P. de Brichambaut took part in the forum.

Besides, the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Lithuania and J.Soares supported the initiative of Kazakhstan on holding the OSCE Summit this year, emphasizing the importance of elaboration of effective and specific agenda of this top-level meeting.
