Kazakh Transport Ministry requests to support air transportation subsidizing to amount of KZT 400 mln

ASTANA. January 13. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Abelgazy Kussainov has addressed the Prime Minister with a request to support the subsidy assistance of air transportation to the amount of KZT 400 mln today at the collegium of the Ministry.
"Beginning from March 2010 all soviet aircrafts that are not equipped in accordance with the ICAO standards and performing 40% of all subsidized flights today will be decommissioned and replaced by modern aircrafts", the Minister noted.
"In this regard and in order to promote further modernization of the air fleet and flights security upgrade we ask you to support additional financing of the air transportations to the amount of KZT 400 mln", A.Kussainov said.
