Kazakh Transport Minister surveyed Uzen-state border with Turkmenistan railway construction site

TANA. September 23. KAZINFORM Transport and Communications Minister of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliyev got familiarized with the construction progress of the Uzen - state border with Turkmenistan railway during his working trip to Mangystau region on September 22-23, the Ministry's press service informs.
The project on the construction of the Uzen-state border with Turkmenistan railway is being implemented under the Declaration of the heads of state signed in 2007 by Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran and the intergovernmental agreement between the three states. It is purposed to set up an alternative route of North-South international transport corridor and cut the distance by 600 km. The project worth 61.7 bln tenge is operated by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC.
