Kazakh Transport Minister, Iranian Ambassador had a talk

ASTANA. September 10. KAZINFORM Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliyev met on Friday with Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iran to Kazakhstan Gorban Seifi, the Ministry's press service informs.

The Kazakh Minister briefed on the key directions of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of transport. In particular, Mahan Air flies once a week en route Astana-Tehran-Astana. Besides, Dena Rahsaz takes an active part in realization of Kazakhstan's mega project East Europe-East China. The company reconstructs a Karabutak-Irgiz highway sectio in Kyzylorda region, and a section in South Kazakhstan. Another highlight is a joint project on construction of railway line en route Gyzylgaya-Bereket-Etrek-Gorgan. This road is of great potential to increase cargo transportation between the countries. Aktau Port and Iranian ports enjoy constantly deepening ties.

Kamaiyev invited Iran to take part in TransEurasia 2011 international conference slated for November 10-11 in Astana.

Winding up the meeting the parties expressed hope that Kazakhstan and Iran will further advance trade and economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
