Kazakh tennis players Karatantcheva, Putintseva to clash in Marseilles

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Two representatives of Kazakhstan Sesil Karatantcheva and Yulia Putintseva have advanced to the second round of the Open Féminin de Marseilles in France. It is the ITF Women's Circuit tournament with the prize fund of $100,000, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.
In the first-round match Karatantcheva routed the 6th-seeded Jovana Jakšić from Serbia in three sets 0:6, 6:3, 6:3. Putintseva, in turn, outplayed Yulia Beygelzimer from Ukraine in straight sets 6:3, 6:4. The ladies will face off against each other in the second round of the tournament.
