Kazakh tennis player shows no progress in Bucharest

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan-based Yulia Putintseva has failed to reach the main draw of the Bucharest Open in Romania, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.
In the final match of the qualification round the 19-year-old Putintseva lost to Dutch Kiki Bertens in straight sets 5:7, 4:6. The Russian-born Putintseva hit one ace and made no double faults.
Bertens will next play Irina-Camelia Begu of Romania. The prize fund of the WTA tournament totals $250,000.
