Kazakh tennis player shines in Australian Open qualifying

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan-based Yulia Putintseva has advanced in women's qualification singles at the 2015 Australian Open in Melbourne, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
In the first-round match of qualification Putintseva hit 6 aces to route American Julia Boserup in straight sets 6:1, 7:6. The tennis players spent 1h 37min on the court. The Kazakhstani made no double faults, whereas Boserup made 5. Another representative of Kazakhstan at the tournament Aleksandr Nedovyesov also advanced in men's qualification singles yesterday.
