Kazakh teachers develop e-white cane for the blind

Teachers of Ayagoz district developed an electronic mobility support cane for the blind and visually impaired, Kazinform Agency cites the akim’s press service.
The e-cane enables blind and visually impaired people to walk and navigate around safely and independently. The e-cane scans the surroundings for obstacles and provides the user with voice commands. It also helps identify distinct objects and other important details in their surroundings through a computer vision system. The e-cane can connect and exchange data with other devices.
