Kazakh swimmer fails to advance to 2024 Paris Olympics Men's 100m Freestyle quarterfinal
Today, July 30, Kazakh swimmer Adilbek Mussin lost his chance to advance to the Men's 100m Freestyle - Heats semifinals at the ongoing 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, Kazinform News Agency reports.


Adilbek clocked the 100-meter race in 49.92 seconds. Following the qualifications, he secured the 41th position.

In accordance with the established format of the competition, the top 16 competitors from the initial qualifying round will proceed to the semifinals. Those who have not qualified are eliminated from the competition.
It bears to remind that Kazakhstani swimmer Xeniya Ignatova lost her chance to advance to the Women's 100m Backstroke semifinals, securing the 26th position out of 36 competitors in the event.
To date, Kazakhstan has secured three medals.
It bears to remind that Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev won bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team competition.
31-year-old Yeldos Smetov claimed Kazakhstan’s first gold medal in judo at the ongoing 2024 Paris Games. Smetov, who competed in men's 60kg, defeated French Luka Mkheidze, bronze medalist of 2020 Tokyo Games, on points. This is Yeldos Smetov's first Olympic gold. He won silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics and bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Judoka Gusman Kyrgyzbayev claimed bronze medal of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on July 28. He defeated Strahinja Bunčić from Serbia in men’s 66kg match.
