Kazakh specialists to do training in China

KAZINFORM /Yelena/ Ilyinskaya/ 24 Kazakhstan specialists who were short-listed after two-month tough competiition are departing to the People's Republic of China today to do the training in Chinese University of Petroleum within Central Asian Pipeline project which was presented in May, 2008.

The gas pipeline transports natural gas from the oil-gas fields of Turkmenistan to the border of China and supplies gas to the southern regions of Kazakhstan. Two lines of 1 067 mm in diameter will be built. The construction of the pipeline was begun in July, 2008. Today welding works are underway. The first line will be commissioned at the end of 2009. The second line will be launched in April in case of successful negotiations, and signing of agreements. Besides modern equipment and technologies, highly-qualified personnel are required. According to Director of ?Central Asian Pipeline? LTD Beyimbet Shayakhmetov, our young specialists will study for six months, pass exams and have an opportunity to work for our company. Chinese Consul in Almaty noted the construction of the pipeline was a strategic project which manifests friendship and cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
