Kazakh Senator invites South Korean businesses to EXPO-2017 in Astana

The meeting discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. The parties stressed that deepening of inter-parliamentary relations contributes to strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Kazakhstan and South Korea. In the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan there operates a group for cooperation with South Korea and the Korean parliament called Association for Friendship with parliamentarians.
Speaking about two-way relations in the economic sphere Mr. Adyrbekov emphasized activities of South Korean companies in Kazakhstan and their active participation in the ongoing large-scale projects, including construction of the Balkhash thermal power plant.
The senator pointed out that the project should be carried out in compliance with environmental requirements. Noting the success of the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2012 in the South Korean city of Yeosu, the senator invited South Korean companies to participate in EXPO-2017 in Astana.
